Q + A

When should I RSVP?

We ask that everyone tries to RSVP by April 4, 2025. If you are unsure if you can make it by April 4th please let us know, as we are willing to accommodate, we know not everyone knows their schedule months in advance. If we do NOT get an RSVP by May 30th we will assume you will not be in attendance. We ask that you RSVP on the knot website. If you are unable to please email your RSVP to emmahart.99@gmail.com.

What do I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! We kindly ask that you RVSP and "decline" by April 4, 2025 so we can plan accordingly.

How do I know what I am invited to?

You are invited to everything! All guests are invited to the ceremony, reception and dance. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

Can I bring a plus one?

We kindly ask that only those who are named on the invitation are in attendance, due to limited space. IF your invitation includes “guest” please feel free to bring a special someone. Please add your guests name when you RSVP, if applicable.

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones, but we kindly ask that only infants under one year old join us for the celebration. Unless you child’s name or “family” appears on the invitation and the RSVP. We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with you, thank you for your understanding.

What time should I arrive to the Ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30pm at Asessippi, as long as weather permits. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to find a seat and parking. If you arrive late we kindly ask that you meet us at the hall for the reception and you do not interrupt the ceremony. Ceremony seats will be reserved for immediate family. Seating is slightly limited but there will be standing room.

Are there blocked hotel rooms?

Yes! The Russell Inn, Harvest Moon Inn (Roblin), Stay Easy Inn (Roblin), and Desjard Inn (Birtle) all have rooms blocked off. Please book in advance and use Hart/Shaw wedding when booking.

Camping

There is very limited camper space at the Russell Hall for Saturday night only. Please message Emma to assure there is space if you plan on brining a camper. There is green space for tents outside the hall. Camping may be available at the Asessippi park, Lake of the Prairies, Birtle campground, Binscarth campground, and Goose Lake in Roblin. Please book camp spots in advance. There are a few spots to park campers at the Shaw Farm in Birtle. Please message Chad or Emma.

Other places to stay?

We recommend booking a blocked hotel room but there are a few other options in the area! Asessippi Inn, Rossburn Hotel, Shoal Lake Motor Inn and multiple air bnbs in the Birtle, Russell, Langenburg, and Inglis area. Barn in the Bush is located by Asessippi. Lost Meadow Resort is located by Roblin.

We want everyone to have a great night, so beverages are on us. Let’s drink the bar dry!

This is a semi formal event. Please feel free to dress up. The ceremony will be outdoors if the weather permits and there will be a short walk to the chapel. Please keep this in mind when choosing an outfit. The reception will be indoors.

Is the Ceremony Unplugged?

Yes, we kindly ask all guests to put their phones and cameras away during the ceremony. We have a photographer who will capture photos. It is ok to take some photos before or after the ceremony, but we do ask for everything to be put away and on silent once the family and bridal party start walking down the aisle.

Photos

As stated above we ask for guests to refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have an amazing photographer and we will share photos with anyone who would like them. We also ask that the photographer is given space to work and guests are not taking photos beside him. Please feel free to take as many photos as you like during the reception and before the ceremony begins! But it is important that our photographers have space to work.

What if the RSVP won’t work

If you can’t find your name in the RSVPs please check under your partners name if applicable. If it still will not work please email emmahart.99@gmail.com

Is Asessippi Accessible?

The Vine Chapel is located on the Asessippi hill. There is a walk from the parking lot to the Chapel. There is a narrow gravel path leading up to the chapel. Although the area is very scenic, it is not the most accessible spot for those with limited mobility or mobility aides. If you are someone who has limited mobility we suggest that you meet us at the Hall for our reception, to assure everyone’s safety. If you would like to attend ceremony, we would love to have you, but we do recommend arriving very early to give your self time to get to the chapel and get seated safely.

Is there a social?

Yes! We are having a social in Swan River, MB. We welcome everyone to come out and celebrate with us on February 22, 2025! Tickets and support tickets available!
